Mahelet Awash is a Master of International Affairs candidate at the Hertie School of Governance. She holds a BA in Political Science with minors in Gender Studies and French from Georgia State University. Mahelet has work experience in civic engagement and community organizing. She is interested in issues concerning refugees and Migration, as well as economic and political issues in East Africa. She likes to learn languages and enjoys trying different cuisines.
